Overview of TourDeparting at 9:00 on Thursday, up to 30 persons, including family members of symposium participants, will be able to attend a technical tour to The Railway Museum at Omiya, the most popular technical and historical museum on Japanese railway technology.

The visit will start at 10:00 with the introduction by a museum official. A tour of the museum in two groups will be guided by two railway technical specialists and two Korean and Chinese students from the symposium committee after the introduction. Participants can enjoy the museum exhibitions in the three story building and outdoors by themselves after lunch.
The tour fee of JPY1,000 per person includes the admission fee, a round bus trip between the conference venue and the railway museum, and a light meal lunch box. The participants shall depart from the museum at 16:00 and will return to the conference venue approximately around 17:00 by bus. The arrival time will depend on the traffic. Linguistic support in English, Chinese and Korean will be provided for the tour, though the guided tours are made only in English. Participants have an option to get back to down town Tokyo by train by their own cost for a direct experience of using urban public transportation network in Tokyo.
